Thanks to Brad for sending:
“This is my chihuaha Dobby at the Dew Drop Inn. I was a lighthouse keeper in the Coast Guard. This is a padded bag that I used to haul electronics in. (more…)

Thanks to Gwen for sending from the Starbucks on H Street NE.

“Dear PoPville,
I shot this video on November 11th at 2nd and D NE. Saw him again yesterday flying around the trees on E St NE around 4th or 5th. Guessing he’s from the neighborhood, or is just loving all our bird feeders! Either way, it’s too freaking cold out for this budgie.
I’d love to catch him and bring him inside, but having grown up with birds I know that’s a hard get.”

Thanks to Kathy for sending: “This cutie was making (sleepy) eyes at me on the 96.”

“Dear PoPville,
There is a dog being kept in a van on the Unit block of Bryant Street, NE. Cops and animal control responded but because Dog has food and water and “shelter” they won’t do anything. Dog is howling up a storm. Does the community have more ideas to help the pup?”
Update: “The neighbors tried calling around to the area home depots to determine ownership to no avail. The van was moved by 7 am. Unknown on the status of the dog that was being kept inside”

“Dear PoPville,
I present to you 1 day old guinea pigs. Yes, they come out fully formed: hair, teeth, sight, and hearing ready to go and basically look like miniature adults from the get-go! These little ones will be ready for adoption along with their two other siblings at the Humane Rescue Alliance once they are weaned.”

So we do what we gotta do. Thanks to Walderness for sending from this weekend’s Womens March.

Thanks to Corinne for sending from the Red Line.

Thanks to Lauren for sending from the Silver Line.
And thanks to the genius whoever invented the dog carrying backpack.
And thanks to God for inventing Corgis. And gin.
