A young woman in north Dupont circle is letting her large black lab run around the streets unleashed. It aggressively jumped on me as I was running while she was half a block away. When I asked her to leash her dog, instead of apologizing she angrily held up a leash in her hand. The thing about leashes is that they need to be on the dog. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I have a very energetic and social 10 month old Dog who would spend all of his time at the dog park if he could. Since daylight saving time, it is already dark by the time we are able to go to the dog park in the evenings (around 6 pm), and by then our local dog park is generally empty. (more…)

Lots of messages were sent to us (props to all the concerned neighbors who did not give up until Bruce was rescued!) over the weekend: “Neighbors have been trying to get the construction manager or animal control – this poor cat has been stuck in the scaffolding at the Scottish Rite construction site on 15th and S NW.”
