Back in late October we looked at some awesome new murals at the old DC Postal (for a hot second) and Capoeira space in Shaw righ across from Right Proper Brewing and the Howard Theatre. We noted a restaurant ws coming and now we got a name – Kiss Tavern.
The liquor license application says:
“A tavern with a Total Occupancy Load of 99 seats. The Sidewalk Café will have a total of 24 seats.”
Stay tuned as always for an opening date.

The Go Go blaring at 7th and Florida Ave, NW is the best. I know we once debated it back in the day but by order of the Prince of Petworth it must be made official. It is the best and it never ceases to bring me a smile when I walk by. So let it be written, so let it be understood.

“about 7 gunshots were just fired near 7th and O or P streets NW.”
From MPD around 10pm Friday night:
“Members of the Third District are currently investigating a call for the sound of gunshots in the area of the 600 block of O St., NW. Units have located expended shell casings in the area, however no victims have been located. Traffic in this area may be affected by this investigation. If anyone has any information regarding this incident it is asked that you please call 202-727-9099.”
