A reader writes:
“I don’t think you have posted about this. I think (and am hoping) it is going to be a cava grill restaurant, but I’m not sure what work space means. Possibly office space? The first floor where it is looks like a spot for a restaurant.”
Sadly I inquired when I saw the sign too (next to Pearl Dive) but alas it’s just their corporate offices. But if the right space becomes available it’s possible Cava Grill could come to Logan one day.

“I stopped by the new Planet Pet space on 14th Street this week and asked what their plan was. According to the woman I spoke with they were there for the long term and were going to occupy the entire building. The first floor will be the day care and retail. They have to do some renovation before the day care is ready. The second floor will be grooming. The top floor will be an apartment for the owner. She said the plan for the redevelopment of the property with the rear addition was no longer in play.”
This rental is located at 1317 Corcoran Street, Northwest. The listing says:

In Jan. 2014 Pulp closed at 14th and S St, NW after 14 years at 14th and S. For a second we thought a Buddy Dog Daycare was coming. Now word on the street is that it’ll be a restaurant/bar. Stay tuned.

Back in August we learned about the Art Soiree House that was supposed to come to the space above Floors on 14th. It sounded incredibly promising. Before this the space was once planned for a spot called Local 14 and more recently was once a planned pizza restaurant. Another cursed spot?

A few weeks ago we learned Planet Pet was closing in Adams Morgan (to make way for development.) Happy to see they’ve returned to 14th Street in Logan (near where they were before they moved and changed their name.)

Thanks to a reader for sending word. Originally plans for Holm were listed on the CAS Riegler website:
“A former parking lot, and home of a taxi cab stand and garage, the site has been razed to prepare for the ground-up construction of 38 luxury condominiums and 3,100 square feet of retail.”
But if you click over to the Holm website it now says:
“A collection of 38 new luxury apartments are coming to the vibrant Logan Circle neighborhood. Located just east of the booming 14th street corridor, the residences at HOLM are perfectly situated among all that city life has to offer.”
