1 Year Old Shot in Crossfire just before 9pm near H Street, NE; now in stable condition

“At approximately 20:57 hours, First District officers responded to the rear of the 1300 Block of I Street, Northeast for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, Officers located one male juvenile victim and a crime scene. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411 or contacting the First District Detectives Office at 202-299-2025.”

The Washington Post reported:

“The boy was described as conscious and breathing when taken to a hospital after the 8:50 p.m. incident, said Officer Sean Hickman, a D.C. police spokesman. D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham, who went to the scene, said the baby was in stable condition with a wound to his lower extremities.”

We will also be doing an after party for the Pow Pow event, across the street at Sticky Rice later that same night 10pm-close.

Jarobi’s talents go well beyond his obvious involvement in the Grammy nominated, A Tribe Called Quest. Jarobi has also made a huge impression in the food world, as featured in the Michael Rapaport directed documentary, while also working with famed chef, Marcus Samuelsson and Jarobi’s own traveling food event, Eats, Rhymes & life.

“The Metropolitan Police Department has obtained video footage from June 25, 2017 of 54 individuals who were driving illegal minibikes, dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) on the streets of the District of Columbia. The MPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying these persons of interest.

“Toki Underground Hosts Pop-up with Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken” Sunday

“On Sunday, June 11, Toki Underground will partner with Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken to host a one-day-only collaboration pop-up at the H Street ramen shop. The restaurant, which is normally closed on Sundays, will open for the pop-up from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The special menu will feature collaborative dishes, like a black sesame glazed doughnut, scallion biscuits & tonkotsu with Kimchi cream cheese, and a Toki Monster doughnut, which is made with a bourbon and angostura glaze with cured and spiced bacon bits. The menu is available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last, and guests will have the option of enjoying in the restaurant or ordering for take-out. Full menu details with pricing can be seen below, and photos can be found here. The regular Toki Underground menu offerings will not be available during this time.

Additionally, Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken will also sell the Toki Monster doughnut for $4 each at the G Street location only in limited quantities on Sunday, June 11. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for your time.
