From Impala DC:

“Impala Cantina y Taqueria has closed its doors. Thank you H Street for the 5 years of tacos and margaritas, it’s been a ride. Thank you for all the H St Festivals, Cinco de Mayo’s, comedy shows, Taco Tuesday’s, movie nights, brunches, birthdays, anniversaries, beer can cakes, and summer evenings on the patio. We laughed, we danced, we drank too much. We’ve met friends we will stay in touch with for the rest of our lives. If you have a memory you would like to share, we would love to read it! Please post in the comments. Thank you, neighbors”

“Dear PoPville,

Has anyone else noted how terrible the streetcar signs are? The contrast is terrible. I can barely make out when the next streetcar is coming when I stand in front of the sign, much less across the street trying to decide if I should cross to take it. Why would they put these up? They should have taken a note from WMATA, their signs are at least legible.”
