Update from MPD:

“This morning [Wed.], at about 9:30 AM, a woman was operating her vehicle in the 700 block of 13th St NE when she stopped at a traffic light. At that time her vehicle was “bumped” from the rear by another vehicle, described as a blue Infinity 4-door. The woman got out of her vehicle to inspect the damage and left her door open, keys in the ignition and motor running. The passenger of the striking vehicle, exited and came around as if to inspect the damage and also spoke with the victim. While the victim was looking at the damage, the suspect ran and jumped into the driver’s seat and drove off with the victim’s car.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5’10” – 6′, average build, dark complexion, short hair, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. The driver of the blue Infinity is only described as a black male with dread locks.

The victim’s stolen vehicle is a 2011 Dodge Charger, gray, 4-door, with VA tags XGY-2244.

The offense is under investigation by the First District Detectives Office, 202-299-2025. Anyone with information can also call 202-727-9088 or send an anonymous text to 50411.”

Ed. Note: Last week MPD warned of recent car jackings.

From Ben’s Chili Bowl:

“There are some new food options coming to Reagan National Airport and I am happy to say that Ben’s Chili Bowl will be one of them! The deal is done and we are working hard on a design that will bring the food and flavor of U Street to National Hall in the airport. This new location will be just to the right of Terminal B (the center terminal) and will be pre-security so regardless of what airline you are flying or if you are taking a trip at all, everyone will have access to Ben’s Chili Bowl at National Airport. And we will have plenty of seats for customers to dine-in as well as carry-out that can go through security and be carried on the plane.

Look out for Ben’s at DCA around May of 2014.”

Ed. Note: Last week we learned of some scuttlebutt that Ben’s planned to open an Arlington location as well.
