“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects and a vehicle in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in the 1800 block of T Street, Northwest.

At approximately 1:31 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. (more…)

Ed. Note: Last night The Chocolate House (1904 18th St, NW) wrote us:

“our store was just robbed twice in one week by the same guy while we were in the store. He verbally and physically threatened us. @DCPoliceDept saying they can’t put a car on our street? We’re not the only business who has recently been robbed.”

Sadly looks like we may be on our way to returning to the roll down gate days of the 80s…



1250 Connecticut Ave, NW

“Dear PoPville,

I walked by City Tap House on Connecticut Ave NW, south of Dupont Circle, and noticed it was dark and empty inside. Which I thought was odd, especially on a weekend. These signs were in the window. Looks like DC Health closed them temporarily for “violation of the DC food code regulations”, and the restaurant is claiming it’s due to “not having an updated business license”. (more…)
