One reader reported: “It was crazy! He accelerated and didn’t even swerve. Almost like he mixed up the gas and the brake or something. No clue what could have caused it though cause nothing was in the road on anything”

“Dear PoPville,
I’m wondering if others had a similar experience to me today, though: when running through Columbia heights/Mt Pleasant, behind the zoo, then back up Harvard street to 16th (notably, passing the construction site on the 1500 block of Monroe st), I developed a burning sensation on my lips, severe eye irritation and a lot of congestion. It’s only subsiding now, an hour or so later.
I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience around there? Of course, could have been something else too.”

Thanks to Amani for sending:
“Hell of a way to wake up in Columbia Heights. My car has also been hit on my street (Oak St) by a UPS truck because they allow trucks thru in a narrow street with so much construction. The driver ripped off their plates and ran.”

Thanks to Erin for sending: “Saw these lost bike flyers posted along 11th St. NW this morning (between Monroe and Park). Thought you could amplify it. Thanks!”
