We’ve shared the best of times with y’all and look forward to making new forever memories in the future
We would be having the most epic party, but 2020 stinks
Stay tuned this week for more anniversary information, trust it will be fun anniversary week/month!”

An awesome feat – congrats and here’s to many more!! Check out the menus for this great spot.

“Dear PoPville,

I live in a historic, rent-controlled apartment building in Adams Morgan. Yesterday, my landlord emailed all the tenants in the building to let us know he would be doing a walk through of each unit. Today, I got a knock on the door and was met with 5 strangers, 2 of whom were wearing masks with the logo of a real estate development firm on it. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

On this super hot/humid thursday (9/3) morning I was walking by Tryst on 18th after taking a run and saw a super cute woman sitting & reading at one of the outdoor tables in the corner of the patio (I think she was wearing a Michigan shirt)

I wish I had said something at the time but didn’t! Wanted to put this out there if she noticed a guy walking by (around 9:00am) in orange/pink shorts and a gray T-shirt wearing a mask. If this is you and you did notice me please reach out!! I feel crazy doing this, but it’s COVID so why not!”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, some have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made.

Also our last missed connection at Tryst resulted in two connections sadly they were not the missed one.

“Dear PoPville,

Late morning yesterday (Monday 8/24) I saw a (very cute!) guy sitting outside Tryst bakery on 18th – we shared eye contact for a bit as I walked by. On my way back up 18th a few minutes later, I scanned the Tryst patio and found him already looking at me with a big smile as I walked by. I smiled back but had a mask on and was in a rush. I wish I’d done something, though I don’t even know what that would look like! I’ve been thinking about that quick little exchange today, even though he’s probably married – or just a normal friendly dude and I’ve simply reached the romanticizing-literally-any-human-gesture stage of quarantine.
