Late morning yesterday (Monday 8/24) I saw a (very cute!) guy sitting outside Tryst bakery on 18th – we shared eye contact for a bit as I walked by. On my way back up 18th a few minutes later, I scanned the Tryst patio and found him already looking at me with a big smile as I walked by. I smiled back but had a mask on and was in a rush. I wish I’d done something, though I don’t even know what that would look like! I’ve been thinking about that quick little exchange today, even though he’s probably married – or just a normal friendly dude and I’ve simply reached the romanticizing-literally-any-human-gesture stage of quarantine.
Anyways, this is a shot in the dark, but if a blonde-ish/red haired guy remembers seeing a flustered girl with wavy blonde hair wearing a flowy black dress on 18th Street on an otherwise uneventful Monday – would you do me a solid and let a girl know? He was cute. We’re in a pandemic. I gotta take any excitement I can get.”
