Whenever I walk past this storefront 1841 Columbia Road NW I mean to ask you about it. I finally remembered. However, a quick google search shows that it closed back in 2008. Did anyone ever go when it was open?

Seems like a pretty good location, not far from Bedrock billiards, anyone know why (presumably) it’s been vacant for so long?

“Limited kitchen” with that sleeping arrangement means a ramen flavor infused IKEA mattress by the end of your internship, guaranteed.

When this bed’s a clangin’… alternatively, gives a new meaning to chamber pots.”

Great location right where Mount Pleasant meets Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights. Bars, restaurants, food stores all a stones throw away. In building laundry center and available parking in lot or garage for small fee.

$1380 sound right for this studio?

Flipped Car in Adams Morgan/Lanier Heights Sat. Night

These photos are fascinating/horrifying. A reader writes:

“The accident happened on Ontario Place around 2am saturday night/sunday morning. The car that flipped is a Toyota Celica and the girl driving it walked away with only a scratch on her knee. I didn’t see her, but another neighbor said he helped her get out of the car and she was ok. The car she hit is a Jeep Cherokee and you can see it up on the curb in some of the photos. It looked like there was almost no damage to the Jeep, which was amazing, but one of the cops there said the axle was broken.”

Amazing that the driver walked away with only a scratch.

Adams Morgan’s Grand Central Gets Table Taps

Grand Central is located at 2447 18th St., NW. Thanks to a reader for sending the word:

“Last week Grand Central got two “pour it your self” draft tables. pretty cool.
They are going with Craft beers.
Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter
Avery White Rascal Belgian White
Bell’s Amber
Flying Dog Raging Bitch IPA”

I think this makes the third spot in town to get table taps along with Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights and Redline in Penn Quarter. Know of any other places that have table taps? And what’s the verdict on table taps – do you think they’ll be around for a while? Do you think a lot more bars will/should get them?
