“The Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved the Pfizer COVID-19 booster dose for eligible 12- to 15-year-olds. Mayor Muriel Bowser and DC Health, led by Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, are encouraging all 12- to 15-year-olds who received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on or before August 6, 2021 to get a booster dose as soon as possible. “The District’s reported data for January 4, 2022 includes 1,326 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 106,819.
The District reported that two additional residents lost their lives due to COVID-19.
· 86-year-old female
· 87-year-old female
Tragically, 1,222 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

Beginning Wednesday, January 5 at 1:00 p.m., a new COVID-19 PCR testing site will be provided in partnership with The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Federal Emergency Management (FEMA), and eTrueNorth.

Wanted to just share this – tried providing DC DOH with a positive covid diagnosis through the exposure notifications via phone (iOS). I tried twice last night and once this morning, and never received a verification code (screenshot above). Because of that, I couldn’t move ahead any further in the process. Not sure if others have the same issue. Just wanted to share.”

Is contact tracing still continuing in DC? My boyfriend and I tested positive on Monday and Tuesday of last week, and never received a call from the DC Contact Tracing team. We did not test through DC health, so not sure if that has something to do with it, but through Sameday Testing in Capitol Hill. (more…)
