“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Friday, December 10, 2021, in the 2300 block of 4th Street, Northeast.

At approximately 10:06 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, in the hallway of an apartment building, unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. A second adult male victim was found outside of the building, conscious and breathing, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Read More

“A lineup of emerging and established artists, photographers and authors will present their work Sunday afternoon at metrobar‘s inaugural Holiday Art Fair, which will include an art sale, photography exhibit and live music.

Artists from the Artbae and BlkArthouse will be selling their work at the outdoor venue, 640 Rhode Island Avenue NE. Artbae is a collective of DC-area artists who build awareness for activism and social change through arts-centered programming initiatives. BlkArthouse is a DC-based organization that represents emerging Black artists and is dedicated to increasing access and representation throughout the art world. The Holiday Art Fair runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
