“Wunder Garten (1101 First St, NE) welcomes the arrival of spring with Frühlingsfest, a German tradition akin to Oktoberfest.

Head to the beer garden Thursday, April 13 through Saturday, April 15 for live music, authentic German fare, Stein holding competitions and more games.

The party kicks off Thursday, at 4 pm with DJ Lehi and the tapping of the traditional Maibock keg. Specifically made for consumption at spring festivals, Maibock is a paler, more hopped version of bock, a strong, German lager.

“Union Market, northeast D.C’s vibrant culinary and retail district, will kick off its monthly drive-in movie series this Friday, April 7 at 8pm with feature presentation The Royal Tenenbaums. The special screening marks the start of Union Market’s annual classic American drive-in experience, which in partnership with Getaround, is held in the parking lot (1305 5th Street NE) and projected onto the market’s wall. Gargantuan Grocery Store Week concludes with another crowd favorite – Trader Joe’s!! (We’ve hit the grocery store trifecta this week – Whole Foods, Wegmans and Trader Joe’s, whoever had that ticket can pick up their winnings at Solly’s at 3pm today.) This is the Trader Joe’s we first learned about back in November. The liquor license placard lists hours as 8 am – 10 pm – STAY TUNED!

Developers started to dig up a parking lot in NoMa but have found brick outlines which are now being carefully sifted through. We’re all really curious to know what they might have found!”

Ed. Note: I asked former ANC Rep Tony Goodman about this and he says it’s the future FCC building at 45 and 55 L Street, NE.

“Red Line: Single tracking btwn NoMa & Judiciary Sq due to overnight derailed work car. Expect crowding & delays. Consider alternates.”

Work Starts at 100 K St, NE (Not Storey Park) in NoMa

It looks like they are finally getting started on Storey Park (K and 1st NE). There is a large pit right now where a make-shift parking lot has been since the Greyhound Station came down.”
