“Dear PoPville,
This year’s NE EATS will be at Dock 5 on April 28th! The Washington Jesuit Academy (WJA)–a tuition-free school for young men grades 4 through 8 from underserved communities–is once again rallying some of DC’s best local food and beverage producers for the event. We’re expecting 40+ vendors–including 5 local breweries, 2 local distilleries, and a wide variety of food options.
Tickets are $75* and include all tastings. Proceeds go directly towards the mission of the Washington Jesuit Academy.
*Children under 8 are free, and kids activities will be provided.
For an updated vendor list and ticketing information, please visit the NE EATS website.”

This rental is located at 1149 Abbey Place, NE. The Craigslist ad says:

hahaha thanks to Samantha for sending. Now my second favorite park sign in NoMa. Stay tuned for Swampoodle Park coming “early 2018”, not to mention the underpass art parks.
I’m still waiting on Wagamama too.

The placard for The Eleanor says:
“New Class “C” Tavern featuring upscale bar food, pinball, and arcade games, with 160 seats and a Total Occupancy Load of 295. Licensee is requesting a Summer Garden Endorsement to include 52 seats, and an Entertainment Endorsement to include indoor Live Entertainment.”

“Dear PoPville,
I was walking on 3rd Street NE between L and M Street at 7:55 a.m. on Tuesday when I saw a heavyset man with a hoodie and sweatpants walking toward me exposing himself. I filed a police report, and I also wanted to give everyone else a heads up. I know there have been other reports of a flasher in NoMa. I wonder if this is the same guy.”

And thanks to a tipster for sending word about a Streets Market and Cafe coming to Noma too. Streets confirms to me they’ll be coming to 51 M Street, NE in the ground floor of the new AVA NoMa apartment building. Updates as they get closer to opening.
Ed. Note: Streets Market opened their first DC location at 14th and Belmont Street, NW back in 2014 and the second at 1221 Massachusetts Avenue, NW back in July. They’ll be opening their 3rd location in the Brookville Supermarket in Cleveland Park.

Thanks to all who emailed the Sursum Corda news from the Washington Business Journal:
“Pennsylvania-based Toll Brothers paid a huge sum for the 6.7-acre site, which is currently approved for a redevelopment totaling 1,100 units.”
Updates when construction starts.

Thanks to Will for sending the coming soon for Blue Bottle coffee at Union Station. Looks like it’ll be on the main floor near the Laduree. Finally some competition for the Starbucks(es). In other Union Station news, which there seems to be a tremendous amount lately, Grant sends a photo of a new salon on the lower level:
