I actually went inside this house and was pretty blown away. It is set up that you can rent out the first floor which is pretty sweet in its own right. Personally I think it is essential that a roof deck be added. But all in all I was pretty impressed. What do you guys think of the house itself? It’s yours for $1,350,555.

Tonic Restaurant Adds Vegan Menu Options

“After working with Compassion Over Killing, Tonic Restaurant on Mt. Pleasant St. has just added a brand new vegan menu in addition to their current menu. They are now offering poblano pepper, broccoli risotto, and a lot more! In order to celebrate the new menu, DC Vegan Drinks is being hosted at Tonic on April 5th at 7 pm.”

While we’re on the topic, I’m still waiting to hear if Vegetate has found a new home.

Taking Dog Crap Very Seriously in Mt. Pleasant

I think I’ve seen more signs like this in Mt. Pleasant than in any other neighborhood. Do you think it is because it is a bigger problem in Mt. Pleasant or because some Mt. P residents are more vocal?

I know this isn’t a traditional Monday Good Deal or Not? Post but I couldn’t wait to share this one. I’ve been admiring this home for years. We’ve definitely judged it before but this is the first time I’ve seen a few photos of the interior. Fixed up this could be one of the coolest houses in Mt. Pleasant (though stay tuned for tomorrow’s house of the day). For those who’ve got deep pockets – it’s yours for $1,750,000.

The Mount Pleasant Library will close For Renovations on March 27

“The Mount Pleasant Library will close on March 27, at 5:30 pm, for renovation and expansion. The library will be closed for approximately 17 months. An Interim Library will open on April 19 at 3164 Mount Pleasant St., NW, one-tenth of a mile from the Mount Pleasant Library. Until the Interim opens, please visit the Cleveland Park Library, 3310 Connecticut Avenue, NW. Library materials may be returned to any DC Public Library location.
