The upstairs eating space at the P Street Whole Foods has never been *amazing* (I blame the lack of windows), but it has always been a passable spot for a quick bite or pit stop between errands. Now it’s been partially converted into staging space for AmazonWholeFoodsBezosPrime orders — it’s like sitting and eating in an active warehouse. Why halfass this and not just relocate the eating area somewhere else entirely?“

More 14th street construction drama…
After almost a year of construction and untold millions, DDOT has effectively turned the bike lanes next to the curb bulb outs on 14th St NW into long term street parking. Here’s Saturday afternoon with three vehicles parked in the lane with engines off and no drivers inside (see above). Obviously any enforcement is out of the question. (more…)

“The Third District is currently investigating the sounds of gunshots at 12th and M St NW. There is some minor property damage reported.
Motorists and pedestrians may experience some delays in the area as we continue to investigate this incident.
