Whenever I walk by the stunning rowhomes in this area, especially on P, Q, R, S streets, I’m dying to know what it looks like on the inside. Thus my love weekly Wed. house porn. Anyway, I think the outdoor patio is one of the dopest I’ve seen in a while. What do you guys think of the house? And for the curious it’s yours for $1,599,000.

On Saturday I posted photos of the damage IMF protesters did to two banks on P Street a few blocks from Logan Circle. In addition to breaking windows the protesters also spray painted some red anti IMF slogans.

Before I went to P Street, I was in Logan Circle and I had noticed that the Park Sign speaking of the circle’s namesake was vandalized. Seeing how it is red paint, I’m wondering if it was the same folks. But what do they have against General Logan?

A buddy of mine called me when I happened to be in Logan Circle to ask if I knew what happened at the PNC bank located on the corner of 14th and P. I ran over to take a look and it was quite a scene. Multiple windows were smashed.

Actually the PNC bank alone had enough glass smashed to fill the back of a pick up truck:

Further west on P Street I found out the Wachovia was hit as well:

Notice the red spray paint above? Well, a worker there told me that the damage took place at 5:30 am and the police caught the vandals. How did they catch them? Well there were cameras. But in addition to that the protesters had fresh red spray paint on their shoes. Beautiful!

So for those of you who like original details, you are gonna love this. Holy cow, check out the fireplace and mantle on the first floor. As with all house porn let me know what you think of the house but for the curious it’s yours for $1,999,000.

“Close to Metro and U-Street/Logan, light-filled, condo alternative, updated kitchen, granite countertops, hard wood floors throughout, historic row house with beautifully landscaped front and back patios, two parking spots, custom elfa shelves & lots of great features.”

More info and photos here.

Now this is a small house at 2 beds/1.5 baths but before you judge it you have to take a look at the photos. They seems pretty sweet. Lots of nice detail here. Given the charm and the size do you think $530,000 sounds reasonable for this home?

I can’t remember if we’ve looked at this strip on 14th Street a bit south of P Street before. I think these buildings are super cool. I’m really hoping that they just get refurbished and not demolished. It looks like work is about to get started and if they do get fixed up I think this will be a phenomenal block. I particularly dig the one on the left. Anyone know what’s slated to happen here?

Wow. I’ve often walked by this one and admired the roofdeck as well as the building itself. So what do you think about the house itself. It also has a pretty wow price – $5,000,000. Of course it does have 8 bed and 8 baths…

Ed. Note: A reader sent me a proper house porn post for next Wed. that is ridiculously cool, so hopefully that will absolve me from this week’s rather weak post!

This is a pretty unusual home. Notice the two front doors – do you think the whole structure is part of this deal or are they two separate homes? I think it must be the whole structure. Pretty sweet. What do you think of the house itself? It’s on the market for $1,249,000.

I’m really a big fan of these small little hidden streets. So in addition to the price what do you think about the home itself? Do you dig the exposed brick? The asking price for this 2 bed 1 bath is $479,000. Given the location – reasonable?
