From an email:

“It’s beginning to look (and feel) a lot like summer in the Nation’s Capital, and Stable DC is excited to announce the return of their popular frozen summertime treat, the Schnapsicle. This original-recipe concoction combines everyone’s favorite refreshments for beating the heat – popsicles and alcohol – making Stable DC the ideal destination for your summer outings. Read More

11th and H Street, NE

Thanks to Anna and Smita for sending:

“This property has been vacant for quite a while, so I’m very excited about this. Unclear if this is an extension of The Pursuit Wine Bar down the street or if this is something completely different.”

“New on H and 11 NE! Pursuit wine bar and kitchen. This previously had a Two Boots pizza banner on it, which never came to be.”

From Dangerously Delicious Pie‘s Action Network petition:

“A tale as old as time: We, an established DC small business, literally a mom and pop business run by a husband and wife team for over 9 years in the H st corridor, are being challenged by a neighbor who moved in just 1 year ago. We are humbly asking for the support of the community we live to serve and have loved to be a part of over the past decade. Thank you so much for your continued support.”

There are currently 2,250 signatories (as of 9:30am).

1401 Maryland Ave, NE

Thanks to Anne for sending. Theories? Wild conjecture?

The Maryland Ave Chick Fil A opened in May 2017. Previously the space was home to a Checkers. If you’re in a pinch I’d suggest hitting the Popeyes at 1226 H Street, NE.

Ed. Note: Since it comes up on all Chick Fil A stories, allow me to include this post from a June 2018 story written in Huffpost titled: If You Really Love LGBTQ People, You Just Can’t Keep Eating Chick-fil-A.
