“Dear PoPville,

In light of the PSA you shared on 1/13/23, I wanted to let you know that my lock box was broken into on 1/17/23 (possibly 1/16/23). The plastic on the facade was cracked open (somehow), keys removed & MIA, and shoved full with toilet paper?! My lock box was a generic brand. Notably, my neighbors’ MasterLock lock boxes appear to be untouched. Don’t know if that really means anything but I will be upgrading!”

“New Jersey Avenue and Q St NW. right across from The Garden.

The city changed the traffic configuration on New Jersey Ave about 3 months ago and installed a few new permanent parking spots across from The Garden. It looks like someone drove straight into a parked car last night which then caused the parked car to slam into another parked car. It appears as though the driver backed up and took off, but left part of their front bumper in the process.”

And thanks to B. for sending from Eckington: (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

The Mckinley Tech track team is the reigning DC champion and needs to raise funds for buses to compete against Maryland and Va. To that end, they’ve partnered with the highly popular GoGo Fitness and will host an exercise/dance party on the lawn at the high school. For those who don’t like to exercise they can just come out and dance to some great music. Gogo Fitness is giving 100% of proceeds to the track team. Donate on site.”
