Update from DC Fire and EMS 5:05pm: “Update 2 Alarm Fire 1500 block Park Rd NW. #DCsBravest making good progress in attacking & extinguishing fire. 1 patient transported non life threatening injuries. No apparent extension to adjacent structures.”

“2 Alarm fire now 1500 block Park Rd NW. Fire involves top floor and attic of large 3 story institutional building. #DCsBravest have rescued several occupants. 20 units & approx 100 personnel on scene or enroute.”

Trying to find someone… was hit by a car (while walking) in the crosswalk of Columbia and Harvard st. at around 7:15pm last night. There was a woman who I THINK was named Peggy who was an absolute angel from the moment I hit the ground to getting inside an ambulance. I would love to be able to thank her properly!!!”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday, February 21, 2022, in the 3200 block of 13th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 8:33 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the sound of a gunshot. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and found that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. (more…)
