Yesterday we looked at a sweet lawn decoration and a reader recognized it from this house. Good eye! So if you buy this house there is a bonus… So what do you think of the house itself? The location? Think this 4 bed/3.5 bath will go for $974,500?

From an email:

“The basic gist is that it’s like Amazing Race on bikes, all over the Hill – starting at the North Eastern Market Metro Plaza and winding up at a cool party at the H Street Country Club. The fun gets started at 5pm on August 28.

This is a cool event for a great cause – the Ready, Willing and Working program – hope to see you there!”

Full press release after the jump. (more…)

The Craigslist ad says:

“Light filled two bedroom townhouse on lovely block just steps from Lincoln Park and close to Eastern Market shopping & restaurants. Gorgeous newly re-finished original pine floors, CAC, washer/dryer, kitchen with dishwasher, and small deck in the rear.”

This looks like it could be a good roomate option. Does $2550 sound reasonable for this 2 bedroom?

“Antique 19th century “Gasolier” chandelier in living room conveys. Notable former owners include Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison”.

How do you guys think this one ranks among other house porn posts? I’m digging the kitchen. It’s yours for $1,295,000.

The Craigslist ad says:

“This boutique-like 2 story 1 bedroom 1 bathroom Capitol Hill Row home is located one block from Maryland Avenue NE and 1.5 blocks from the H Street Entertainment district and is perfect for the professional working on/near Capitol Hill (15 minute walk) who enjoys the conveniences of work and play nearby!

The row home is historic in architecture with wooden and carpeted floors, a combination of exposed brick walls and an operating wood fireplace. Wood floors recently refinished, look like new! Newly bricked back patio, great area to enjoy an afternoon in the sun or an outdoor BBQ. Patio furniture included.

The large upstairs bedroom has an open floor plan with a skylight which allows easy access and a large amount of sunlight to filter in.

The house is pet friendly (we had a dog there ourselves!). The rent includes an ADT security system which is monitored 24/7 by ADT. Other utilities are extra.

The H Street Entertainment District is less than two blocks away and features unique restaurants and other entertainment venues, perfect for young professionals!”

Personally I think saying “H Street Entertainment District” is a bit too formal… What do you guys think – does $2045 sound reasonable for this 1 bed row house?

“I live near this house, and I would be shocked if it sold for the asking price (quietly hoping). I’d like to see what other folks think.”

I’m surprised there are so few pictures for a house that was completely renovated. It makes judging much more difficult. But from the photos they do show do you think this 4 bed 3.5 bath (with basement rental) will go for $829,000? If not – what do you think is a more realistic price?

“This total reno was just listed in my neighborhood so I am curious to see what others think of the list price. The interesting thing about this property is that it and its sister property next door (220) were sold as total shells back in January of this year for $560,000 each.”

I think I like this one better than yesterday’s house porn post with a pool. Do you guys like the reno? Do you think this 4 bed/3.5 bath will go for $1,279,000?
