UPDATE: Home found!

“Dear PoPville,

I have a fat, healthy, about 8-inch-long orange and white Koi that has outgrown my outdoor pond. I’m not sure how old he/she is but he/she was about 3 inches long when I bought him/her and I’ve had him/her for about 3 years now. He/she is not aggressive at all, he/she has lots of smaller comet goldfish buddies that he/she gets along fine with. (more…)

Really, hopefully temporary sad news, from the really good people at Boundary Stone:

“Since March we have fought to be here for our employees and our neighborhood, which we have faithfully served for the past nine years. Thank you to everyone who has supported Boundary Stone and have been so generous to our staff. It truly has been impactful and has allowed us to delay having to write something like this for the last 8 months. Unfortunately with colder weather moving in, rising virus counts, and no relief on the horizon, we have made the truly agonizing decision to close Boundary Stone until further notice.

We will remain open until Wed Nov 25th when we will celebrate our 10th annual Thanksgiving tradition and end this epic run with our showing of The Last Waltz. We cannot predict what the future holds for gathering places like Boundary Stone, but we are hopeful that we will be welcoming you all again at some point. (more…)

This decommissioned industrial site has sat vacant, decaying and unused for decades thanks to needless delays.

The McMillan project has been in the works for many years, with input from the community going back as far as 2007. (more…)
