A reader wanted to know if there were any special happy hours tonight so I thought I’d share this email with Adams Morgan options:

El Tamarindo Applies For Outdoor Seating

El Tamarindo is located at 1785 Florida Ave, NW. I know winter is coming up but I think if this section of Florida Ave. get some outdoor seating it will really improve the overall feel of the block. They are only applying for a spot to seat 14 people. Looking forward to it!

I gotta say this looks much nicer than I thought it was going to. What do you think of the condo itself? Does $369,900 sound reasonable for this 1 bed/1 bath?

Last week a reader sent in some photos of new murals at Pierce Park in Adams Morgan. A commenter mentioned that there was another one near the basketball courts. Here it is. I love the earth in the middle.

Judging Restaurants – Himalayan Heritage

Himalayan Heritage opened up a little more than a year ago in the old San Marco spot on 2305 18th Street in Adams Morgan. So I’ve been wondering what people think because every time I peek in it doesn’t seem to crowded. The space still looks great though. You can see their menu here. Any fans?

New Pierce Park Mural

Thanks to a reader for sending in the photos:

“saw the wall painted white the other day and lots of work yesterday and finally got my camera out this morning. pretty cool mural in the park and new recycling trash cans along with it. you can also see the tree pot in the background with ontario lakers painted on. i think it’s an old youth organization that i’ve seen in some historic photos but i don’t know the background.

the park got an updated dog park in earlier this year too. now if they would only fix the soccer field, which is in terrible shape.”

New “Living Blog” in Adams Morgan Plaza

I’m not exactly sure when this new (to me) feature went up in the Adams Morgan Plaza at 18th and Columbia. I have to say it was a bit disappointing. Previously they’ve had a Festivus feature where people wrote hilarious notes. There was also a more general tell the President feature back in January. This one is asking folks specifically about health care and quite frankly is boring as hell. Most of the notes just say “I’d like health care” or something along those lines. Also, not sure I’d call this set up a blog…
