I think I may have shown this one before but since then it looks like it’s gotten a paint job.

It also got me thinking about its location – it must be brutally painful/confusing to explain to people you live on Columbia St, NW in Shaw as opposed to the popular Columbia Rd in Adams Morgan.

I thought this double from Ridge St, NW was pretty sweet. Even added, what I suspect is, a sweet roof deck.

And here’s the block view.

While not technically a pop up because it appears to have been originally built taller than the neighboring homes, this is one of the greatest “pop ups” I’ve ever seen. It’s from Capitol Hill and also has super cool glass etching in the front door:

This is a possibly re-PoP but I don’t mind because there are so many cool features. This time I was fixated on the rivets.

I know Halloween is well over but I thought this one from Capitol Hill was great. Plus it’s a great little house in and of itself:

I’ve always admired this one (even though it’s been under renovation for a while) in Ledroit Park. I was psyched to see a little history about it when I passed it a couple of weeks ago:

I wasn’t planning on posting this one today but I happened to be searching around the PoPville flickr pool and stumbled upon it. And since it’s one of my favorite houses in the city (from Woodley Park), I couldn’t resist. Plus I thought the angle of the shot from bajidc® was super cool.

This is an interesting alley house from Capitol Hill. Do you think it was once a proper carriage house and was completely renovated or just new construction. Either way, I like the wood siding:

I always forget the awesome, hidden sculpture at this one. And of course regarding the house itself, it’s all about the bay window for me.
