“It’s back! In its biennial boat-home tour, Southwest DC’s colorful liveaboard community will open its doors to visitors on Saturday, October 5 from 10 AM to 3 PM. The self‐guided tour at the Wharf Gangplank Marina provides visitors the opportunity to visit 23 of the most fun and unique homes in Washington DC. Boat owners and docents will also be available to answer questions about the boat‐homes and the liveaboard lifestyle.

This is the first time that the floating homes of the Wharf Gangplank Marina have been open to the public since the opening of the District Wharf in October, 2017. The District Wharf has positively redefined the Southwest waterfront, and the chance to tour this unique community is not to be missed. (more…)

The DC SPIN location is excited to debut an Astroturf installation at the studio’s center court – much like the iconic grass fields of Wimbledon – in their underground Press Building location, plus offer specialty drinks reminiscent of popular sips from across the pond. Jeopardy! contestant coordinators are in town this week doing some auditions, and a couple of them (including a senior producer) have decided to drop into the Cafe Saint-Ex trivia night to give players the down low on how to get into the contestant process and meet some of the DMV’s Jeopardy! fans.
