“It’s back! In its biennial boat-home tour, Southwest DC’s colorful liveaboard community will open its doors to visitors on Saturday, October 5 from 10 AM to 3 PM. The self‐guided tour at the Wharf Gangplank Marina provides visitors the opportunity to visit 23 of the most fun and unique homes in Washington DC. Boat owners and docents will also be available to answer questions about the boat‐homes and the liveaboard lifestyle.

This is the first time that the floating homes of the Wharf Gangplank Marina have been open to the public since the opening of the District Wharf in October, 2017. The District Wharf has positively redefined the Southwest waterfront, and the chance to tour this unique community is not to be missed. (more…)
