I really liked the stone border here as well as the wood windows on either side.

Sorry I couldn’t get any closer on this one but I think you can see the expressive face.

Of course I’m digging the quasi vestibule here. Unusual tiling and a tree stump made this a no brainer for me…


While last week I was a bit obsessed with transoms, this week I fixated a bit on door knockers. The one above was one of the more unusual (found in Georgetown).

This great one was found in Georgetown.

Here’s another that the photo may not do justice to. But it just looked so weathered and old. It looked like it had a lot of stories to tell.

Beautiful old door with a great transom to boot.

Clearly I was fairly dehydrated when I took this photo. Despite the crooked angle this is a great door (and transom).

This isn’t the typical door that I usually select but I really like the distressed look and the replaced panel on the bottom left hand side.
