“Dear PoPville,

Writing to see if this been an issue for anyone else, and if there’s anything DC can do about it? DC rats seem more organized than ever. I street park my Tesla in Mt Vernon Triangle. They set up a nest INSIDE the front bumper of my car, and ate the wiring in my car (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I purchased a home a few years ago and I inherited a useless DIRECTV satellite on my roof and it’s accompanying dangling wires. In retrospect, I should have made it a condition for the prior owner to remove it, but it’s a case of “could’ve, would’ve, should’ve. After years of avoiding this task, I finally want this hideous thing off my roof. From a quick internet search, it seems like the onus is on me to deal with this rather than the satellite company. My question is does anyone have any experience in removing and disposing of a satellite dish (and connecting wires) in a safe and eco-friendly way?

“Dear PoPville,

With an extra day this holiday weekend, I took the time to sort through my family’s masks and I now have a large number of cloth masks ready to give away or repurpose. I offered them to my local Buy Nothing group, but no takers yet. All the ideas I found online involve sewing (coin purses, collars, gift card holders, patches, quilts), but my sewing skills are limited to attaching buttons. What are others doing with their extra cloth masks?”
