“Dear PoPville,

How does one report someone who is consistently leaving their dogs massive shit in the one grass patch on my block? I caught her and yelled at her but she still didn’t pick it up!! I know that you can get fined in dc for not scooping up afterwards but I’m not sure how that’s enforced and I also don’t wanna be the enforcer of that either, I just don’t want to walk around it or accidentally step in or have my puppy who’s still on the route to getting all her shots get exposed to something she’s not protected against yet
I’m between Logan circle/the lower half of Shaw 10th & M”

“Dear PoPville,

On my walk home yesterday night while on New Hampshire Ave. near the intersection with Georgia Ave., I spotted the monstrosity. My first inclination was that it was some sort of marmot or beaver that wandered far from home, but upon closer inspection I concluded it might, in fact, be a humongous rat, or some sort of blasphemous rat hybrid. “Dear PoPville,

Friday night around 2am my friend was looking for a parking spot by my home. Guy behind us kept flashing his high beams at us – got inpatient and then floored it across Harry Thomas Way/3rd st. He then hit 4 parked cars and flipped his own car. (more…)

With another comedian originally from the Balkans (Ivi Demi from Albania), we put together a comedy show to benefit Ukrainians, next Thursday at the Ukrainian-owned bakery D Light in Adams Morgan. “Dear PoPville,

Last Friday around noon, I was looking for a spot to sit and work outside in front of Emissary on 20th St. Asked to share a picnic table with two guys who were chatting, and one of them announced that they were just leaving. Shared a sweet smile with his friend (light brown hair, glasses) on their way out. Maybe we can get another coffee and sit and stay a while…”

“Dear PoPville,

Now that we’ve reached peduncle elongation, NPS is predicting we’re about a week away from peak bloom at the Tidal Basin. Are there clusters of trees around town that are a little ahead of schedule? Foxhall? Catholic’s campus? Anything at the Arboretum? I have guests in town this weekend, and I would love to crowdsource some wisdom of where we could spot any non-Mall clusters of trees. Thanks!”

“Dear PoPville,

I had a missed connection today (yesterday, Wednesday.) I was walking along H street by Lafayette Park and noticed a gaggle of people walking on the sidewalk towards me. I saw Secret Service and stood aside and also tried to figure out who the dignitary was.

That’s when I turned and noticed a lovely brunette in a green floral dress following the group. We made eye contact and she smiled – and also clearly discerned my curiosity in the group she was loosely following. She volunteered that it was the Irish Prime Minister, or Taoiseach, in town to meet President Biden. We got to chatting and and I learned she was a reporter traveling with the PM’s delegation.
