“Dear PoPville,

Meet Luke from Michigan.

At exactly 11:01am, Luke was the only participant to show up at the north side of the Washington Monument for the announced/moved/cancelled snowball fight. Nevertheless, he easily won the competition with the first pitch even though he was hindered by the dry snow/ice conditions obviously unsuitable for proper snowball work:

There were no other combatants in view.

Sometime around 11:15am, others showed up on the NW side of the monument, unaware of the cancellation/declared winner … and persevered on with the fluffy dry snow: (more…)
