Kilwins, best known for its original recipe ice cream and Mackinac Island fudge, began in Petoskey, Michigan and today has more than 150 franchised locations across the United States. Thanks to Rifka for sending: “Banana Republic in Georgetown had its last day Saturday. Shop was almost completely empty and they didn’t have info about if they planned to have a store in DC in the futures, since the Penn Quarter store closed last year.–”
Looks like Banana Republic fans will have to head to Friendship Heights just over the border in Maryland at 5430 Wisconsin Ave.
