“Dear PoPville,

I am curious to know how others have dealt with this: I live in a RPP zone of Mount Pleasant and have always had a IRL paper visitor permit. I have also used the app twice to get digital permits with no trouble. My current house sitter, who is visiting from AL, is registered via the Park DC Permits app, but in the last week she has twice gotten parking tickets, from the same officer. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I’ve opened a number of requests on 311 site, which are then closed without any update, or solution. I’ve called 311, where tickets are created by agents, but when I login all of the details I took the time to convey- and are important to the issue- ie where dumping is occurring- are not there as the agent didn’t bother to input. “Dear PoPville,

I estimate that between 15-20 tickets have been filed over the years, with little response. (more…)

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has forecasted above-average hurricane activity along the east coast for several years running. (more…)

They then didn’t notify the homeowners and then let us all find out through OTR with our second half 2022 property tax payments. A lot of people opened the mail on 8/8 to $20,000+ half year property tax bills on homes that typically have $2-4k half year bills.

When we contacted DCRA , the person said “yeah, we’ve been getting a lot of calls about this today.” (more…)
