From MPD sent just before 4am: “Alert: Shooting Investigation in the area of 9th Street and U Street NW. Lookout for W/M with curly hair wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and boots. Last seen going eastbound on Florida Avenue NW.”
“The Third District is investigating a shooting which occurred approximately 3:50am in the 900 block of U Street NW. One adult male sustained a gunshot wound and sustained critical injuries. Anyone with information can call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.”

“The Metropolitan Police Department announces a man has been arrested for multiple violent offenses throughout the city.
On October 19, 2023, the Metropolitan Police Department Carjacking Task Force and officers of the Sixth District executed a search warrant in the 2000 block of 1st Street, NW. As a result of the search warrant, a man was arrested and a firearm was recovered from the home.
18-year-old Malique Tyrone Outland of Northwest, DC, was arrested pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant for an Armed Carjacking (Gun) that occurred on September 3, 2023 on the 1500 block of Spring Place, NW CCN: 23145349. Mr. Outland was also charged with Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device. CCN: 23172308.
Mr. Outland was additionally charged on probable cause with the following offenses: (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects and a vehicle in reference to an Armed Robbery that occurred in Southwest.
On Monday, October 16, 2023, at approximately 10:53 p.m., the suspects exited a vehicle, armed with handguns, and demanded property from the victims in the 600 block of Wharf Street, Southwest. The victims complied. The suspects took their property and money then fled the location in a vehicle.
