“On October 11, 2016, at approximately 10:30 pm First District officers responded to the 1100 block of I Street, Northeast, in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, the complainant reports that he was approached by a suspect who asked him for the time. Believing he was about to be robbed, the complainant began running eastbound in the block. The suspect chased after the complainant and stabbed him once in the back. Taken from the complainant were an iphone, wallet, and keys. The complainant was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on I Street, Northeast. The suspect is described as a black male, 30-35 years old, 5’8, short hair, wearing a blue and gray hooded jacket, and jeans.

“Shortly after 11 PM on October 3, 2016, MPD Fourth District units received a 911 call for a vehicle playing loud music in the 1700 block of Newton Street, NW. Officers responded and located a vehicle occupied by five people in a parking lot. The officers approached the vehicle and observed multiple open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle. The occupants were stepped out of the vehicle and placed under arrest for Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol. During a search incident to arrest of one of the occupants of the vehicle, officers located a semi-automatic pistol inside his pants. A pistol magazine containing ammunition was also located inside the vehicle. All of the occupants in the vehicle (3 juveniles and 2 adults) were placed under arrest for various firearms- and alcohol- related offenses.”

“A West Virginia man is facing several charges after authorities say he shot a deer in Washington D.C. It happened close enough to the Palisades neighborhood in Northwest D.C., that neighbors heard the gunfire and called police to help.

The Washington Humane Society said the male deer had 14 points on his antlers and was estimated to weigh about 250 pounds.”

WTOP reported:

“Goyne used a handgun, according to the police report.

Goyne is being held without bond until his next court date scheduled for Oct. 12.”

“The Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division Sexual Assault Unit announced an arrest has been made in two First Degree Burglaries and First Degree Sexual Abuse while Armed offenses.

The first offense occurred in the 1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Southeast, on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at approximately 6:00 am. The second offense occurred in the 1300 block of Independence Avenue, Southeast, on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at approximately 12:30 am.

In both cases, the suspect entered a residence, produced a gun, and sexually assaulted an adult male.

On Saturday, October 1, 2016, 33-year-old Brian Craig Webster of Hyattsville, Maryland, was arrested for two counts of First Degree Burglary, two counts of First Degree Sexual Abuse while Armed, two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), and Carrying a Pistol without a License.”

“5-6 shots heard on the corner of 8th st NW and Crittenden around 6:20pm. Second shooting in the same area in less than a month. Police on the scene now.”

MPD reports:

“Members recieved a call for sounds of gunshots in the area of Sherman Circle. Shell casings were located in the 700 block of Crittenden. Adult male victim states he was shot at the bus stop at 8th and Crittenden where he sustained one gunshot wound to his right leg. He then borded a metrobus and told the bus operator that he had been shot. The bus operator then drove him to the 3900 block of Georgia Ave for their safety.

Investigation is ongoing.”
