We were on scene after the guns but saw the women in handcuffs, the crashed secret service vehicle and I noticed the Women’s car had a “baby on board” sign on the back and appeared legally parked. “The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the area of Georgia Avenue and Hobart St NW. An adult male has been located at an area hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

“Our office represents a bicyclist who was critically injured in a hit-and-run bicycle crash on Friday, July 10, 2020 at about 12:15pm near the intersection of New Hampshire Ave and Quincy St, NW. As a result of the crash, he was knocked unconscious, broke his collarbone, and underwent surgery at Howard University Hospital.
Now that he is out of the hospital and recovering at home, we are trying to identify any witnesses who might have more information about the crash or driver. Would you be willing to post the attached flyer? We are hoping some of your readers might come forward with some information.”

The Fourth District is currently investigating an Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm that occurred on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at approximately 12:57am in the 3900 block of 4th Street NW.
Property damage was reported.

“Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser authorized the release of body-worn camera (BWC) videos related to three deaths involving Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers. The BWC footage is being released pursuant to the Council of the District of Columbia’s Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Second Emergency Amendment Act of 2020.

I’m the UPS driver who got hit with the stray on 14th. I was about to go in to a building and a bullet came from behind and hit me in the hamstring. Went in and out and ended up in the truck somewhere. I flagged down a cop and he put a tourniquet on to stop the bleeding. (more…)

UPDATE: I’ve just seen a photo where UPS driver seems ok but is on a gurney with his leg wrapped next to an ambulance.
