I noticed on the Columbia Heights News Forum that one commenter claims that the Bi-rite on 11th and Park is going to become:

“1st Floor – Meridian Point, a Belgian-inspired restaurant, with comfort food, lots of beers on tap, and wifi.

2nd Floor – all office space, both for 3DG’s own offices and Solimar International, an ecotourism company. ”

Has anyone else heard about this? Is the Warehouse definitely not coming to CH any longer?

I know we weren’t talking about pizza but it is seldom far from my mind. So I’ve never been to Radius in Mt. Pleasant [Ed. note: Can you tell I walked around Mt. Pleasant recently?] but I was taken by the sign “A slice of New York Pizza”. So what’s the word, pizza aficionados? Rate the pizza compared to Red Rocks, Maroni and Bros. and Vace’s.

You guys are crazy! Wilco always does an unbelievable show at the 9:30 club. And I have not received one measly entry. So here, now you’ve seen a picture of the actual ticket. The rules for the competition are quite simple. Email me a photo of your favorite place in DC or your house/apt. and write a paragraph why. Remember, this doesn’t have to be a photo in Petworth. This can be a photo anywhere in DC from the Mall to the Ballpark, to your favorite bar/restaurant, to whatever neighborhood you live in. I need a minimum of 10 entries or else I’ll just give the ticket to a friend. The concert is Feb. 26 so I’ll need all entries by Feb. 20th. Obviously, I’ll be posting the photos and explanations you submit. Good luck and Godspeed. Now get cracking!

I don’t recall if we’ve actually discussed the upcoming Supreme Court Case on the legality of DC handgun ban. Have we? If the gun ban is overruled do you think crime will increase, decrease or it will have no effect? Personally, I’m an avid skeet shooter and gun enthusiast but I’m a little concerned that more guns may flood our streets. So what do you guys think?

Check out this phenomenal sign. It is located right around the corner from where the DC USA Mall is going up. I certainly hope they are able to stay in business…

I love it. After 3000 years my people can finally graffiti without fear of persecution. I mean 5000 years. And I’m still not condoning it…
