Super sad Shaw news just in:

“Friends of La Jambe,

I’m writing to share some sad news. After more than seven years, our original Shaw location will close on September 17th. We will be shifting our focus on our Union Market location.

This was an extremely difficult and devastating decision, but the post-COVID reality no longer makes sense to keep operating. And I know you’ve heard it before, but please make sure to support small businesses, your neighborhood spot, any mom and pops shop, now more than ever, they need you! (more…)


“Dear PoPville,

It has been too long since we have written one another. How the dreary, steamy days of Summer do drag on. Upon a goose down pillow eating grapes, battered by the radiant sun, I now fondly remember the announcement of our Electric Coney Inaugural .5K Labor Day Race. Oh for the innocent days of 2022!

We were all filled with so much hope for ’23, but alas, two thirds has nearly passed and we have hardly had a nice day to lounge in Rock Creek Park, eating caviar and toasting the inestimable successes of our royal positions. But fear not, friend, for the Electric Coney Second Annual .5K Labor Day Race is nearly upon us. My court is aflutter with news that our jester has even grander plans for this year’s festivities.
