“Red Line 10 p.m. Fri., Sept. 13 through closing Sun., Sept. 15
Regular weekend service except slight reduction in trains at stations north of Medical Center (Grosvenor to Shady Grove)
Red Line trains will operate at regular weekend intervals (every 6 to 15 minutes) throughout the weekend.
During daytime hours, every other train will run between Silver Spring & Medical Center, rather than between Silver Spring & Shady Grove. As a result, riders traveling to or from stations north of Medical Center (e.g. Rockville, Shady Grove) may experience an additional wait of up to 6 minutes.
Orange Line 10 p.m. Fri., Sept. 13 through closing Sun., Sept. 15
Trains every 20 minutes
Orange Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend.
Work Performed: Reconstruction of the station platforms at Minnesota Ave and Deanwood stations will continue, along with tie renewal, insulator renewal and structural improvements.
Blue Line 10 p.m. Fri., Sept. 13 through closing Sun., Sept. 15
Buses replace trains between Braddock Road & Pentagon City
Blue Line trains will operate:
Between Franconia-Springfield & Braddock Road at regular weekend intervals (every 12 minutes during daytime hours, and every 15-20 minutes at other times).
Between Largo Town Center & Pentagon City at regular weekend intervals (every 12 minutes during daytime hours, and every 15-20 minutes at other times).
Free shuttle buses will replace Blue Line trains between Braddock Road and Pentagon City to allow for rebuilding work. Shuttle buses will operate on two routes:
Express Buses will operate non-stop between Braddock Road and Pentagon City. Add 15 minutes of travel time.
Local Buses will operate between Braddock Road and Pentagon City, making intermediate stops at Reagan National Airport and Crystal City stations. Add up to 20 minutes of travel time.
Stations Closed: Reagan National Airport, Crystal City
Change to Last Train Times: The last train from Franconia-Springfield to Braddock Road will depart 22 minutes earlier than normal to allow for shuttle bus connections. The last train of the night will depart at 2:07 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, and at 11:07 p.m. on Sunday.
Work Performed: Crews will replace junction boxes (an NTSB safety recommendation), along with structural/grout pad rehabilitation, track maintenance and cover baord renewal.
Yellow Line 10 p.m. Fri., Sept. 13 through closing Sun., Sept. 15

Between Huntington & Braddock Road at regular weekend intervals (every 12 minutes during daytime hours, and every 15-20 minutes at other times).
Between Mt Vernon Sq & Pentagon City at regular weekend intervals (every 12 minutes during daytime hours, and every 15-20 minutes at other times).
Note: Yellow Line trains will operate to/from Mt Vernon Sq this weekend. Riders traveling to/from stations north of Mt Vernon Sq should use Green Line trains to complete their trip.
Free shuttle buses will replace Yellow Line trains between Braddock Road and Pentagon City to allow for rebuilding work. Shuttle buses will operate on two routes:

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
