Yesterday we broke the news that Ambrosia Vietnamese Restaurant opened in the former Tony Cheng’s space. At that time I wasn’t sure if Tony Cheng’s had completely closed but now we know for sure. The folks from Ambrosia tell me:
“We’ve taken over both floors of the former Tony Cheng’s. The first floor soft-opened about 10 days ago, and we’re planning our grand opening in about three weeks with a full menu.”

ICYMI: In February 2025 Tony Cheng’s door chained, license suspended in Chinatown. They briefly reopened in June 2025 but now it is officially and end of an era.
