END OF AN ERA: ALERO Closing on U Street – After 20 Years!!

Thanks to Laura for sending: “Alero on 13th and U Street is closing!”

The note says in part: “The Building has chosen not to renew our lease, so we will be closing our doors at this location.”

I’ve said it before and I’ll sadly say it again but oh there was a time. There was a time but I don’t think you’d believe me.

Of course, this is not the end of Alero in DC – last month we learned about the new NoMa location coming. And in October 2024 we learned that they were opening an H Street, NE location. And in August 2023 they opened new digs in Dupont Circle.
