After two weeks of reaching out to hotlines and therapists about my sexual assault that happened on 11/1, I feel helpless.
On the night of Friday 11/1,
a man ran up to me and grabbed my butt and slapped it so hard I was bruised and his fingers happened to be inserted where you never want them to be. I have reached out to countless sexual harassment and assault resources that won’t take me seriously because it wasn’t and actual rape. I have lived in this city my WHOLE LIFE and the fact that now in my late 30s I can’t walk outside without more than one person is ridiculous. I was able to run after the man and give him a good smack to the face, thanks to my rings he got a good shiner. This all happened on Mount pleasant street.
The suspect: light skinned, Spanish speaking. Shaggy hair, late 20s.
The worst part: there was a woman who he was with that was laughing the whole time possible egging him on”
