The mural in the Columbia Heights metro has been missing for a number of months now, since around the beginning of the summer.
I assumed at first that it would only be gone for a short period of time, but it’s now been a while, and it doesn’t seem like it’s getting replaced anytime soon–the supports and wiring in the wall are all that’s left. Randy Clarke tweeted about metro artwork yesterday and a few people asked in the replies what happened to the mural, but he didn’t reply. Any intel?”
