My partner and I were picking up our dog from the corner of 20th and Upshur St NE and this adorable little dog that looked like Toto from the Wizard of Oz came up to us. He didn’t have a collar. He was very friendly to both us and our dog but wouldn’t let us pick him up.
We met another dog walker and tried to get the dog into this neighbor’s backyard. He followed us for blocks but then when we tried to get him in the backyard, he wouldn’t go in. He also yelped if we touched him and wouldn’t let us pick him up. I’m afraid he was abused. We also think he might not be fixed because he was really trying to hump our dog. I’m hoping you might be able to share this information so that if anyone sees him, they can call the humane rescue alliance. He was such a sweet little guy, I hope he can find a good home.”
