“I hope people visiting the park with dogs (off leash) realize the risks involved for wildlife”

“Dear PoPville,

Jogging in rock creek park around 330 Sunday I saw a group of people crowded on boulder bridge looking down into the creek at a beaver that wasn’t moving. Word going around was that an off leash dog had attacked it about 20 minutes earlier.

I’m not a dog owner and don’t know protocol for the park. But I hope people visiting the park with dogs realize the risks involved for wildlife. I love that we have beavers living in the middle of our city. I’ve seen them swimming in Rock Creek three or four times before. Today’s sighting was devastating.”

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
