The Atlantis has revealed the magnificent opening line up:
“For weeks, we’ve been teasing the unveiling of our newest venue. Heck – if you’ve been paying attention, you know that we’ve been dropping hints for years. Well, 4/4 is finally here, and all shall now be revealed.
Before the original 9:30 Club opened its doors on May 30, 1980, it was briefly home to another venue: The Atlantis. Now, The Atlantis is back.
The latest addition to the I.M.P. family and an homage to the original 9:30 Club, The Atlantis will open on May 30, 2023 with none other than Foo Fighters. The grand opening marks the start of 9:30 Club’s 44th year, and the beginning of an incredible run of inaugural shows at The Atlantis.
The above 44 artists are integral to I.M.P.’s past, present, and future; many might be important to your musical history as well. Although it’s hard to believe that all of these artists are playing our new small venue… it’s true. Honestly, we’re in awe, too.
We know you’re chomping at the bit to step inside DC’s oldest new venue and see these in-demand artists, so we’re implementing a lottery-style ticketing system to keep things fair and square for these 44 shows. Head over to TheAtlantis.com to get the nitty gritty and request tickets for your faves!
Beyond the first 44 shows, we’ll be curating a calendar of artists who we think will someday make you say, “I saw them at The Atlantis.”
Thank you, and we can’t wait to start our 44th year with you. See you soon at The Atlantis, Where Music Begins.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
