“another business closing downtown after 83 YEARS!!”

1331 F Street, NW via Bensons Jewelers

“Dear PoPville,

Just FYI – another business closing downtown after 83 YEARS!!
Benson’s jewelers – spoke to the owner – last day is next Tuesday – closing because nobody comes downtown anymore – his words.”

From Bensons:

“Bensons will be closing as of February 24th.
Thank you for your past patronage.”

“Bensons Jewelers was established by Ben Stein and his sons in 1939. The original jewelry store resided on the second floor of the International Building in Washington, DC for 67 years. In 2007, Ken Stein, the current owner, moved to a beautiful street level location.

Bensons goal is to supply stylish jewelry, diamond engagement rings and diamond jewelry to the DC community that is both high in quality and in value. While many jewelers tend to have similar jewelry styles and brands, we have chosen many that are unique and exclusive to Bensons.

You will find our showroom to be relaxed and comfortable with a friendly staff that is ready to answer any questions you may have.

We feel that diamonds and jewelry should be an extension of yourself so for your peace of mind, all of our diamonds are guaranteed, by our suppliers, to be conflict free.”
