“Dear PoPville,
A female friend and I were walking home along D St NE at around 9:30PM (Tuesday) and started to be followed by a tall man dressed in all black. He tailed us for a few blocks and was stomping loudly to let us know he was behind us. As we turned onto 9th ST NE he started to get closer and make loud grunting noises while stomping.
We started to run and he chased us into the street. We yelled and ran until a car with a kind Samaritan behind the wheel picked us up and drove us home. The man ran into the alleys along 9th St NE. We notified the police once we were safely inside. I just wanted to alert the neighborhood community to be aware and stay vigilant and safe while walking around.”
