“Flasher near Lincoln Park SE”

“Dear PoPville,

(Thursday, 8/18) I was walking on North Carolina Ave SE near Lincoln Park when a man approached me and started asking me questions in rapid succession. I tried to walk away from him but he persisted. After 2-3 minutes of having him walk next to me asking slightly obtrusive questions, I told him I was in a hurry and sped up to get some distance on him. When I reached 10th and North Carolina I decided to turn north and hope he continued down North Carolina Ave. At first it seemed like my plan had worked, but within 30 seconds I realized that he was walking behind me still, but with about 50 feet between us. He started shouting “Hey! Hey!” at me and as I turned around I realized he was running towards me.

He had both hands in his pocket and I wasn’t sure if he had a weapon. As he got closer I realized he had his penis out. I jumped into the traffic lane on 10th street and shouted. He stopped on the sidewalk near me and started shouting back at me. I pulled out my camera and that scared him enough to get him to go away. This was around 6:24pm at 10th and N Carolina SE. He was 25-35 years old. Black, Ethiopian man (he told me he was Ethiopian) wearing black adidas track pants, back pack, a black tshirt and brown or gray shoes. He was slender build and around 5’8″. I just want folks in the area to be aware this guy is out there.

The photo (above) is of the dude running away fromme when I said I was taking his photo.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
