On Friday we posted a petition pleading for the “practice of live sandwich making to the DC Wegmans.” And soon it shall be – update from the fine folks at Wegmans:
“We are planning on having a made-to-order sub shop station at the Wisconsin Ave store. In fact, we have been planning on it for a bit but were unable to get equipment and fixtures in time for opening. Based on what our vendors have told us, we hope to have everything in place in the next few months.
As soon as we have all needed equipment, we will open, no matter how you slice it. It’s a big dill. Wheat know it may feel sub-par right now but lettuce have a few months. We know how much folks loaf our sandwiches!”
